L'Enveloppe, S'il Vous Plait

Let me just say that Sally Melville is a genius. Her L'Enveloppe design is so much fun. It is so flattering to all women and so fashion forward. The construction is simple, yet brilliant.

I chose to knit it in Dragonfly Fiber's Traveller, a superwash Merino wool that feels amazing. I picked it up last November at a  wonderful store, Black Mountain Yarn Shop in Black Mountain,  NC. The colorway is Bougainvillea, a gorgeous mix of reds and pinks. Her pattern allows for so much variation. There are instructions for sizes small to 2XL, as well as four different stitch gauges. This allows so much freedom of yarn and needles. Sally lets the knitter choose between seed stitch and garter stitch. I knit mine in seed stitch.
